StormEye, based on initial validated suspicion of these Facebook advertisements were but a concerted malicious campaign carried out by hackers, began to collect data and proofs of validity from multiple locations and thereupon performed an in-depth analysis that covered more advertisements than a single person is able to reach due to the restriction imposed by Facebook in its advertisement deploying policy[1].
The technical analysis is comprised of various sections to present a layered and logically deepening diagnostic on the findings in each area. These sections are laid out in logical progression of the analysis process, namely: data collection, categorising data, content analysis, threat intelligence analysis, further analysis and prediction.
